Brown Sugar Bubble Tea




  • 1/2 cup of tapioca 

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp of water

  • 1 packet of black tea

  • 1 cup of milk





  • Boil the tapioca in boiling water. Depending on which brand you buy it will say the cooking time on the package 

  • Once fully cooked, let the pearls sit in ice cold water to get a firm and chewy texture 

  • On low heat, add the brown sugar and cook for about 5 minutes (keep stirring) 

  • (Even though it may seem like it’s not cooking, do not raise the temperature)

  • Turn off the heat after 5 minutes and add your water. Stir quickly as it turns into a syrup

  • Once fully melted, add your boba to the syrup and mix

  • Transfer the pears and syrup into the glass and turn the glass around to let the syrup go all around your cup. This will give it the tiger strips you want

  • Add your ice, milk and however much tea you wish to incorporate 

  • Enjoy as you watch the milk being poured into your cup!
