Levain Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

Ingredients: (yields 8 cookies)

 

  • 1 cup of butter (room temp)

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of cake flour

  • 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour 

  • 1 tsp of baking powder

  • 1 tsp of baking soda 

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 2 cups of chopped walnuts 

  • 2 cups of milk chocolate chips

 

 

 

 

 

Steps:

 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees f

  • Mix together butter and both sugars until light and fluffy 

  • Add the eggs and beat again until everything Is incorporated 

  • Mix together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl 

  • Add in the flour mixture to the dough and mix 

  • Pour in the walnuts and chocolate chips 

  • Fold them into the dough until everything is incorporated 

  • Use an ice cream scooper to get 8 equal sized balls 

  • Refrigerate for 30 minites 

  • Bake 4 cookies per pan

  • Cook for 10-12 minutes (don’t over bake.. that’s what I did and they didn’t get that gooey inside. Trust the time)

  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving 

  • Enjoy!
